Yes, you can use the AE's ethernet port to connect to the network.
Just configure your AE to 'Join a wireless network' and then set-up the appropiate wireless security. Also uncheck the mark where it says 'Distribute IP addresses'. That should get you online.
Lastly, while the AE only has a WAN and LAN port, you could always get a switch (That's what I did) to connect additional LAN devices to it. (I got a gigabit switch for my macs to connect at 1000MPS to one another)
